Dr. Vinyard values the time spent in consultation with each patient and the communication that occurs during your visit here. You can expect that he will spend quite a bit of time with you himself. Initially, you will be greeted with a smile by our receptionist who will offer you the beverage of your choice and provide you with the necessary paperwork to complete. You can now enter your own demographic information and medical health history at the convenience of your own home through our state-of-the-art SAFE Internet-based Patient Portal on our website. Then, you will be escorted upstairs to our new patient floor and into a consultation room. Once there, you will be oriented about your visit with us and escorted to the professional photography suite. There, you will have 2-D taken for pre-operative planning and for use later on in your before and after photos. Next, our nurse or patient care coordinator will take your detailed health history. Once she has conveyed this information to Dr. Vinyard, he will then begin the breast lift consultation which will consist of an analysis and conversation about your breast size and shape, a physical exam, and commence with a detailed discussion of your options. Lastly, you will meet with the patient care coordinator who will explain your breast lift quote to you. This quote is designed based on the plan that you and Dr. Vinyard have decided upon together.

Most patients are ready to return to sedentary work in one week following a mastopexy (breast lift) or mastopexy augmentation (breast lift with breast implants). You will need to continue to avoid repetitive motions and heavy lifting for 3 weeks after surgery as this can cause unwanted complications. You will be able to resume all regular activities in 6 weeks after your procedure.
Bruising following a mastopexyor mastopexy augmentation should resolve in approximately 2 weeks after surgery.
The majority of the swelling following your mastopexy or mastopexy augmentation resolves in 6 weeks after your surgery. We take your first official "after" photos at 3 months post op.
Six weeks following your mastopexy or mastopexy augmentation, you will be very close to your end result. However, the breast will continue to change over the span of 3 months post-operatively in which you will notice that the lower part of the breast softens and rounds to reveal a beautiful, youthful breast. Dr. Vinyard employs the superior pedicle approach to a mastopexy and mastopexy augmentation. This creates more fullness in the upper portion of the breast. Gravity is always present and hard at work to try and return your breasts into the pre-surgical "droopy" position. These unwanted changes can be minimized by continuing to wear a supporting brassiere. Dr. Vinyard's approach to breast lifts takes this into consideration and provides you with a longer lasting lifted appearance to the breast.
Dr. Vinyard likes to keep a close watch on his patients' progress. You will see Dr. Vinyard the next day after mastopexy or mastopexy augmentation in the office, then at 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year.
