Implant Options

During your consultation with Dr. Vinyard, the type of filler (implant) will be selected based on your body frame and the results you hope to attain. Implants come in various sizes, profiles, shapes, and textures. Today, the most commonly used implant types are saline or silicone gel, both widely chosen and FDA-approved. 

Size

Implant size is distinguished based on the number of CCs of silicone or saline being utilized. To understand the right amount, Dr. Vinyard will measure how much original tissue exists and the size you hope to achieve. 

Shape

Breast implants come in either a round or teardrop shape. Both shapes are commonly used; however, most of our patients select a round implant. It often looks and feels more natural and adds a fullness to the top of the breast.

Profile

Breast implant profile refers to its projection, meaning its visibility from the side view. This projection determines how prominent the breasts appear. Implants come in various profiles, ranging from low to extra-high.

Combining Breast Augmentation with Mastopexy

For some patients, achieving the desired breast aesthetic may require a combination of breast augmentation and a mastopexy (breast lift). This combination is often necessary for individuals who have experienced significant changes in breast shape due to aging, weight fluctuations, or childbirth. A mastopexy repositions and reshapes the breast, while augmentation adds volume, resulting in a more youthful and uplifted appearance.
