CosmetAssure has been a valuable resource for plastic surgery patients for over two decades, providing financial protection in the event of unexpected post-surgery complications. This coverage is particularly important as every surgery, including elective aesthetic procedures, carries a certain level of risk for complications.

When you choose a CosmetAssure Participating Surgeon, you can know that you are taking proactive steps to ensure a positive experience and successful outcome following your elective cosmetic surgery. Your surgeon will register you for CosmetAssure coverage prior to your surgery date, and you will receive a Patient Registration as confirmation of this coverage.

Here’s what else you need to know:

In the unfortunate event of a complication, you can contact your surgeon, who will initiate the claims process on your behalf. A claims representative will then contact you directly with further information. It's important to note that CosmetAssure is considered secondary or primary if no other insurance exists, providing additional protection for patients.
CosmetAssure coverage is automatically provided to all participating surgeons' registered patients undergoing one or more Covered Procedures. If a covered complication arises within 45 days of the original elective procedure and requires treatment at an accredited facility, CosmetAssure will cover usual and customary medical expenses incurred by the patient up to the applicable Maximum Limits.
The Covered Procedures include a wide range of aesthetic surgeries such as abdominoplasty, breast augmentation, facelift, liposuction, and more. Additionally, the Covered Complications encompass various medical issues related to surgery, anesthesia, and recovery, ensuring comprehensive patient protection.
